Huawei’s sub-brand Honor took the wraps off its flagship series early today. An interesting detail about this launch is that is also revealed Huawei’s newest chipset Kirin 985. Its performance is miles beyond the Kirin 820 and slightly below the Kirin 990 and it also includes support for 5G thanks to the Balong 5000 modem integration. Today we got a confirmation that this particular will also be present in the upcoming Huawei Nova 7.
An ad poster surfaced today confirming that the Nova 7 will pack Kirin 985 SoC. The teaser also reveals a rectangular camera island comprising four camera modules. The fourth hole houses a periscope lens set offering up to 50x digital zoom. The optical zoom will be limited to 5x which still is adequate. We should take in mind that the Nova 7 will come as a mid-range phone costing around CNY 3,000 ($425/€390). The poster also shows a curved display and a pill-shaped dual punch hole on the front. The device resembles Huawei’s P40 Pro with some small changes in the design.

There have been rumors for several weeks now that Samsung has been preparing to introduce a new Android tablet with a lower cost of entry than its flagship Galaxy Tab S6. Today, those rumors have been made official as Samsung quietly posted the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite on its store in Indonesia.
Just like was rumored, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite looks a lot like the company’s flagship tablet, but with a few cutbacks. For one, the display is a bit smaller at 10.4-inches and has a resolution of 2400×1200. It’s also not an OLED panel, instead using a more affordable TFT panel.

The HP brand may be a household name, but anyone deep enough into PC hardware to read enthusiast publications probably doesn’t associate the company with the memory market. Most of us associate HP name with expensive ink cartridges and an ever-rotating array of notebooks. While the greatest benefit of being associated with a well-known 81-year-old company might be the ability to draw in neophytes, those researching and buying enthusiast tech like high-end desktop memory often pay little attention to marketing. So, what is the tech?
Available at data rates ranging from DDR4-2666 to DDR4-3600, each HP V6 memory kit includes one or two DIMMs, a product ID insert with installation guide and RMA contacts, and a lengthy multi-language regulatory compliance sheet. Heat spreader color is said to identify each kit, with red for DDR4-2666 and blue for DDR4-3000. But HP confuses the issue by cloaking both its DDR4-3200 and DDR4-3600 in black.

If you’ve been in the market for an ultrawide but don’t want to give up your resolution or refresh rate, AOC might just have the answer. The CU34G2X is 34 inches, 1440p, 144Hz, and tops it off with adaptive sync, all for less than $500. But is there a catch? I’ve spent more than two weeks using it as my daily driver and have the answer — and the results may surprise you. This is our review.

We’re not the most patient folks around the Chrome Unboxed office. The day the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook launched, Robby made the 45-minute drive to the nearest Best Buy that had it in inventory and was back at the office by lunch. As excited as we were for the Galaxy, there is another device that we have been chomping at the bit to get our hands-on. The Lenovo Chromebook Duet could very well spawn the rebirth of the Chrome OS tablet and our hands-on time in Las Vegas left us wanting more. In case you missed it, here’s a closer look at the wallet-friendly premium tablet.
We have been waiting, impatiently, on word from Lenovo about an official release date for the Duet but as of today, mum’s the word. That doesn’t deter us from daily searching the web and Lenovo’s data site for some sign of this Chromebook that we’d give our eye teeth to have. Well, today we struck paydirt. I was about to take a quick break for lunch when I decided to give a Google search for the Duet another try and my effort was rewarded. I discovered the actual model number for the Lenovo tablet and a search for that number quickly returned multiple listings for the Duet tablet from multiple resellers. These aren’t seedy third-party listings either.

Samsung offers a suite of apps on Android that includes messaging, a browser, and even its own app store, too. One app that’s especially popular, thanks to the company’s stylus-equipped devices, is Samsung Notes, and now, it’s been updated with support for undo/redo buttons.
First spotted by SamMobile, the latest update for the Samsung Notes app added support for two new features which, surprisingly, it didn’t previously offer. The first of these is support for tags, which allow users to easily organize their notes within the app. Tags can be quickly created and applied to a post immediately, with the app even suggesting tags based on the text.
